Asset Allocation

⚖️ Stocks are a more risky investment than bonds. Over time, your portfolio asset allocation should shift from mostly stocks (when you start working) to mostly bonds (when you are ready to retire). 🥧
🧓 Using a simple asset allocation formula, the "100 Minus Your Age" rule, if you are 40 years old, your portfolio's asset allocation should be 60% stocks and 40% bonds.
Someone more risk-tolerant might opt for the 110 Rule. Their portfolio's asset allocation would be 70% stocks and 30% bonds.
